How the heck do I make one? Is this an easy enough task for someone who's not very DIY-y? TIA for your helpful responses!

Re: Table runners
well you would have to buy the fabric first. Then you have to find out how wide and long you have to cut it. I had called RH to find out size of the tables to figure out how long and then i decided how wide i wanted them. You have to cut them. But then you would need a sewing machine to finish off the edges

well what you can do is cut them but bring it to a dry cleaner to just clean up the edges. The fabric i bought was great, when you pulled it apart it actually ripped off straight. The guy at the fabric store demonstrated for me, it was pretty cool haha
i wanted to buy them too believe me. But i couldnt find them. There were different types of styles and sizes but nothing that i needed

You know, BarbieGrl ordered hers from a place. Maybe instead of DIY this maybe order them. I think that site she used was very reasonable.

yeah they should be able to do it no problems. Good luck. If you find ones that you would want just buy it lol, the fabric isn't cheap it would've probably been cheaper to buy them or rent them which again went to a place that rents them but they didnt have what i wanted which is weird bc i thought it'd be easy to find

Re: Table runners
What about using those handheld sewing things? I saw them on TV. I don't know who makes them but I have seen them before. This way you can do smaller jobs and you don't have to buy or take out a big sewing machine. I thought about doing this as well, but I figured, I really didn't want to spend my time doing it lol

i dont have a sewing machine either, i went to a seamstress to finish it off. It is a pain and wish i didnt have to do it myself. I really cant understand how places didnt have chocolate brown runners But those little machines might work too i guess, didnt have that either
even if i had a sewing machine i wouldnt know how to do it hahaha, but too bad i didnt bc my grandmother is good at it.

Re: Table runners
we made our own too. We bought all the fabric and had them sewn by our local tailor. We had 21 made and the whole thing cost us about $300

Actually it's not too bad. I already found someone who will buy them from me and we'll be making most of what we spent back

If you're super lazy about sewing and dont want to spend a ton of money you can get fusing tape from a craft store and iron the edges under with it. It'll look hemmed and it won't cost you a ton.

JESS: thats great that somebody is buying them from you. Some of mine got ruined with candle wax and other stuff. Plus ppl actually took some of them lol, i dont even really have any left. Everything was taken, our table numbers, the runners, thank god some ppl were stopped from taking the vases, one person was fighting with the florist and didnt understand why they couldnt take them lol. Oh yeah even the crystals off of our CP's were taken

I went to the garment district and bought a huge lot of fabric. My MIL is cutting and hemming and the fabric for 30 tables came to $120.
