table seating advice

table seating advice

its hard enough with the 2 of you doing it, so if you don't need the IL's or your parents, don't ask them. dh and i did it in about an hour the week before our wedding. we made a few changes after we turned the cards in, but SMCC made things soo easy.

mil called me the day after we did all the seating wanting to know who was sitting where. and i explained as best i could. well i heard her sigh more then once b/c, we would not push 2 tables of her family together and we had to split up siblings. his family is enormous and it was the only way.

i quickly told my parents what we did and no one had any complaints. my sister asked me to make a few changes, but nothing major and her ideas made sense.

just some friendly advice....

we did it a bit different and had no issues...

FiLs did their side
My parents did their side
we did our friends..

no one had anything to say cause they figured it out themselves

It can be rather easy but in many cases, there are families where certain members dont talk to others so it is best to keep them apart. We had it relatively easy. There was no drama (that we saw anyway)

We basically did the same. I asked MIL to do her seating, then I did my family and we filled in friends at the end. It took maybe 30 minutes.

i see how you would need help on that. so sometimes its not as easy as you think. my point was to have as few people involved as possible.

That is what we wanted to do...FIL had different ideas. Made it a weeklong nightmare...I was livid and in tears by the end of it!
