I have finished my table seating chart, and the tables have either 14, 12, 10, or 9 people per table, but have I have one table with 7. Thereis no other way to do it. Do you think it will look funny with only 7?

Re: table seating....watermill
Are the tables all the same size? I went to a wedding last July and they had the oval tables...IMO with oval tables it may look awkward

It won't look funny. I had 1 table of 8 and 1 table of 7.

is there anyway you can have 2 more pepole move to one table with 7. cause it won't look so cramped. But if diff if you have kids on those table that have 14 people. and i understand how you feel, I felt the same way when I did my table seating chart.

Whatever you do...don't make a table with 14 if possible....or make it the max. We had one table of 14 and it was TIGHT.

I agree. I went to a wedding at the Watermill in March and sat at a table of 14 and it was a little squooshed. No biggie, though, we only sat down to eat. FH and I did make a note to try not to put that many people at a table.

Thank you both for sharing this, I was wondering myself and now I will make a mental note to not max out the tables.

I agree ~ I was at the Watermill a couple of weeks ago and I think we had 13/14 at our table and we were getting to know your neighborrrrrrr (very tight/close)

Our BM had told us that even 15 wasn't a problem. Yeah, right...we had 164 at the wedding and maybe THAT was pushing it. The room is comfortable and beautiful (Astor) but don't try and pack 200 guests into that room...you don't want to have to add the extra table up your band or DJs noses.

JMO but I think 14 people will be cramped. I hated having to figure out who will sit where with 6 long oval tables. I changed it about a half a dozen times. Good luck!!
