i'm wondering if anyone had thought about the tables at the rh. Does it really matter if the guests sit on round tables vs. a long table? the thing is, the long table seems to make it hard for guests to talk to each other.. no? what do you ladies think? should i pick my rh by the type of tables they provide?

I've been at weddings where we were seated at round & also weddings seated at long tables.. you would think the long tables made it harder for guests to talk to eachother..but actually the round tables are usually so big, that its the same thing..and with music going and all the commotion you usually can't have a quiet conversation anyway.. I say go with the hall you like best.. i wouldn't worry about the tables too much!!

Re: Tables
Also consider the number of CP you'd need. The round table needs only 1 and the recrangle (if it's really long) may need a few

Re: Tables
Some halls we saw had round tables out but they told us they also had long tables availble and changing them is no problem.

Some RHs we looked at only had oval tables and I didn't like them...but they seat more people than round ones do, so it depends on what is important to you. If you have oval tables you might need less CPs...I think it's a matter of personal taste for the most part. A few RHs offer more than one type of table, but we found that most only offer one.

I think that the longer tables make seating easier. You don't have to break up large groups of friends....

Re: Tables
I do not like the long tables, but don't worry about guests being able to hear because they should be up dancing and not sitting and talking during your special day. So go with the hall you like the best and enjoy your day.......

Re: Tables
Most will change they tables if you prefer the opposite shape.
There really is no different between them, my MIL insisted on round tables so that is what we had. THO our RH told us the round tables take up more room then the oval ones.
