I was upset that a few guests didn't even bring a card with well wishes, but I would NEVER question gifts/amounts. That's horrible.

I did text people we recieved nothing from because I was nervous, based on some of the issues we had, that something was stolen and I explained that. Hope none of them took it personally... yikes.

Thats a completely different situation. And totally understandable. This chick was just a giant raging B!!!

i wimped out on asking people... but then almost everyone ended up telling my mom or dw's mom or us that they forgot & were sending cards. (within the week after our honeymoon)

i was concerned bc there were like 7 and one of them sends a card for EVERYTHING and it was weird that she didnt give us a card.

we ended up getting a lot more from people we knew didnt have a lot of money. and we feel bad about it!

ETA- and (unlike what the article said) i really meant a card! not read: cash. it's the thought that counts.

WHEN DID YOU DO YOUR REVIEW AND HOW DID I MISS THIS!!! LOL

I was pretty upset that a lot of my husband family and guests didn't' bring a gift, or said they were showing up (RSVP'ed LATE and made me re arrange tables and didn't even show up). My husband's cousin who won a million dollar lottery didn't give us a gift.

But I would never ever ever say something like that. Especially when the girl explained her circumstances!! What a heartless money grubbing person.
