tahiti

FH and I booked Tahiti and Bora Bora, we have a travel agent who keeps telling us we should buy a breakfast package. did anyone else do that or being told that?

i know somene else on the boards who did and liked it. We didn't. Breakfasts at the hotel without a package are typically $25 per person for a buffet. So if you think the package is worth it, go for it. It's good to get a heavy breakfast in so you can just snack during lunch. Food is VERY expensive!

oh also, don't get the package if you think you won't want a big breakfast every morning. We brought along some quaker bars and little cereal boxes and bought milk there. that worked for us most days

Breakfast at our hotel was about $50 for the both of us so do the math and see if it's worth it for you. I love a big breakfast (since I rarely eat it) so we were more likely to fill up at breakfast, skip lunch (or have a very light lunch), and then have dinner in order to save money on food.

We didn't get any sort of meal plan and we were happy with it.

I wouldn't recommend it, When we went we didn't want to go crazy with spending money etc. So we opted to get morning groceries such as milk and cereal, bread, fruit and had that for breakfast. Meals are very costly and the breakfast at the hotels are very expensive for such simple food, you will be eating out everynight so we spent our money on the restaurants at night.
