Check out tripadvisor.com... just type in 'bora bora nui' or 'bora bora pearl' and they have photos from real people who have been there and wrote reviews. Here are some:

Re: tahiti
Here some pics of Bora Bora Nui on my HM. It was amazing...
For those of you who did Tahiti or Bora Bora....can I ask if you got bored at all? I know sounds crazy b/c it looks so gorgeous there. It's just we want to do a 12 night honeymoon and are pretty much settled on Hawaii - we've both always wanted to go there and feel there is so much to do and also R&R. A nice mix of both. But we are tempted sometimes when we see those gorgeous over water bungalows to fly just a little further and go for Tahiti. BUT - I have heard from several people that the food there is not great...or just that Hawaii has much better food. Not really going on a honeymoon for the best food so that won't kill me. But I've also heard 2 weeks in Tahiti can get a little boring b/c there's just not much to do besides laying out and enjoying the gorgeous view. So I def. don't want to travel that far if we're going to get bored. Hard to imagine though looking at all these pictures....just looking for some thoughts from those of you who have been. THANKS!

I am interested about this too -- however I looked at the activities offered, and it seems to me that they have everything - Jeep Safari's, picnics on a secluded island, helicoptor tours, snorkeling, deep sea diving, sea ray excursions, pearl tours (pick your own black pearl).
What do you think ladies??

Re: tahiti
I haven't gone yet, but it looks to me like you can do as much or as little as you want, as far as activities go.
I need to do something nearly every day, I just can't sit and do nothing. I don't think I will have a problem finding something fun to do.
I think the only thing that might be lacking is a club/bar scene- the most of which seems to be based in Papeete.

Re: tahiti
Yeah I'm def. not looking for a club/bar scene on my honeymoon! Just nice dinners at night.
Thanks - would still love to hear more from others who have been!

We went to both Oahu and Tahiti, so I can offer you some insight. We weren't bored at all in Tahiti. We went snorkeling a lot, 4x4 tours, whale watching, kayaking, circle island tours (on a minivan with a tour guide), traditional dance shows, pearl farm tours, and we also just walked around a lot. We still had plenty of time to relax by the pool or the beach. As for food, the restaurants that we went to were amazing! We stayed away from the hotel restaurants (which weren't that good) and went outside. The only drawback of Tahiti versus Hawaii is that Tahiti is more expensive, and obviously all these activities and restaurants are going to cost a lot of money, but totally worth it in my opinion.
