Re: Tahiti

FH really really wants to go here for our honeymoon but I think it is a little steep. It is once in a lifetime though....

I am an event planner so i travel a lot, I have a travel card and it allows me to book air/hotel at a great discount, only catch is that I can no book until 30 days out. I think we might chance it even though we might not get anything 30 days out....the prices is worth the risk...

With the 75% discount, I think we are looking at around $6500. The travel agent said that was 10 days, 3 diff locations.

Ok, I just started to write a LONG message, but it erased :(

The jist of it was that if you're willing to go that far, consider going to Phuket, Thailand or another island in Thailand. We just returned in August and had the time of our lives!!!!!!! It may be expensive for the flight, but it is soooooooooooooooo reasonable once you get there!!! FM me if you'd like more details!!!

Re: Tahiti

So, i haven't gone yet but i booked my HM there next June.

in terms of flights, we fly to LA and then take a 9 hour direct flight to Papeete. From Papeete, Moorea is a 15 minute flight and Bora Bora is a 45 minute flight from Moorea.

i think you could possibly get it for the price you are looking for. I used Pacific for Less (I know it sounds kind of shady but I promise it's not) and was able to get a better idea of what islands to visit along with which hotels to stay at. It's worth reaching out to them, they've been great.

Re: Tahiti

bali is similar too to thailand in that the flight will be the most expensive part but you can good deals on hotels and it is dirt cheap for spa treatments and food (outside of hotels).

if you want any bali info, i can help you with that. was just there this past may.
