Re: Tahiti Airfare
I don't know what points Air Tahiti accepts but you can do the 'pay with points' option if you have American Express - I use that all the time.

Re: Tahiti Airfare
we just used our points to buy our tickets...it was 75,000 miles for each round trip ticket from JFK to Tahiti! (American airlines miles).
I had some miles and signed up for the credit card- a bonus of 30,000 miles. Plus my mom had miles and bought 1 ticket for us. It cost us $78 per tickets in taxes but saved us about $3,300. (side note- its NOT less miles to go from LAX to Tahiti)

Re: Tahiti Airfare
We're staying 1 night in Tahiti; 6 nights in Moorea at the Sofitel and 4 nights in Bora Bora at the Hilton with breakfast every morning-this cost us $5,600 w/o the airfare to/from Tahiti.

check your credit card reward program details... with my card, i can purchase anything to do with travel, i.e. rental car, hotel stay, airfare, and then my card will credit my account. i think my card starts at 15K points for $150 credit.
