tahiti, fiji, ..confused

ok i think im so confused when it comes to islands, sorry this is probably a stupid question

but i KNOW tahiti and fiji are 2 different islands, are they even close to each other? also whats the main difference between both, is one known for something more than the other..

..still trying to figure out where to go for HM

and where does Moorea and Bora bora fit in to all of this??

I'm pretty sure that they're REALLY far away from one another....

a lot of people go to tahiti, moorea, and bora bora... which I think are relatively close to one another (but still require a flight)

i think fiji is a totally different story!

ETA: NY to Fiji is about 8000 miles

Tahiti, Moorea & Bora Bora are all part of French Polynesia. You have to go to Tahiti because that's where the main airport is, then you take small interisland flights. If you go, most everyone (myself included) will tell you to go to Bora Bora & Moorea, because Tahiti is not as beautiful in comparison.

Fiji is in between French Polynesia and Australia.
