Re: Tahiti Honeymoon

Hi!
We didn't do a meal plan except for breakfast. It was included in our Honeymoon rate in Bora Bora. Good thing too because it was about $40 per person if you paid there! In Moorea we had a resort credit included in our package, so that helped out with the breakfast cost. We went out to dinner a few nights or just ate at a local place for less $ later in the day. Room service was cheaper if you order ala carte. I think it will depend on where you stay if the meal plan is worth it or not. Some hotels didn't look close to anything. The restaurants, nicer ones, picked us up for free. We also brought along a soft sided cooler for snacks like nuts, chips, energy bars that we brought from home. One really important thing, if you drink you should bring your own alcohol from the duty free at the airport before you leave the states. Drinks are so expensive there~! Like $20 each! So we bought a couple bottles of Vodka and bought local juices for mixers when we got there. We saved alot of money this way! Our travel agent was really helpful with all her suggestions to save money. Have a great trip!
best,

Re: Tahiti Honeymoon

We went to Tahiti, Moorea and Bora Bora in December of 2006.

We didn't get the meal plan. We went out to dinner everynight and most excurions we got fed lunch. We were lucky that our Hotels were near little stores. So we would buy snacks and water to have in our room.

We had a wonderful time....Weather was perfect and the views were breath taking.

We are trying to go back for our 2nd Anniversary.

I hope you will be able to get there.
