Tahiti Honeymooners

Hello Ladies,

Fiance and I are in the process of booking our Tahiti Honeymoon and I am wondering if anyone has stayed at the new maitai lapita village in Huahine. It just opened in August! Any reviews would be greatly appreciated! Also if anyone did Moorea, Bora Bora, and another island please let me know your thoughts on the 3rd island choice. Thanks!!

Re: Tahiti Honeymooners

have you thought of tahaa? i'm only doing moorea and bora bora but was considering tahaa. the reason I didn't do tahaa is because TA said there is really only one good hotel to stay at.

mjm... would you mind sharing your hotels, room category, and length of time in each hotel? We are thinking of doing 5 nights in Moorea and 5 nights in Bora Bora but pricing is sooo much so I'm trying to figure it all out to get it within our budget. Thanks!

sure. i'm spending 2 nights at the hilton moorea in a garden bungalow with private pool and then 8 nights in an overwater bungalow at the st regis bora bora.

if you are flexible with islands and hotels, you should be able to come into budget.

i love my travel agent(Pacific for Less - Claudia) and got a lot of upgrades included in my package.

sportif...cook islands are alot cheaper..but further and not as beautiful or romantic. I had 3 different travel agents tell me the same thing so I crossed them off my list. I have a few quotes from different agents so if you want I can FWD to you.

Honestly, Claudia was great and gave me a lot of insight on the hotels. I really would recommend reaching out to her if you are considering Tahiti for HM. I knew I wanted the St. Regis and that drove up the cost but I had another Tahiti specialist give me a quote for my original budget range if you want me to FM.
