Tahiti Honeymooners- Past and Present

The main details of our honeymoon are all booked (flight, hotel and transfers). We are now thinking about excursions and things to do. To past brides- What are some things that we shouldn't miss seeing or doing while in Tahiti (we will be staying on Moorea and Bora Bora for the most days) and what are some things we should save our money on? To the new brides- what excursions are you planning to book? Thanks for your help!!

We were contemplating French Polynesia but we ultimately decided on Fiji If you do a search on here, you'll find a lot of threads on the FP. Here's a good one though...

Definately go snorkling in Bora Bora and swim with the stingrays and sharks..if you are lucky you might even see some manta rays!

I also highly recommend the motu picnic. Very romantic, once in a lifetime experience.

I will also tell you to not waste your money on Villa Mahana. Over priced, mediocore food. We had the private table on the top floor that we booked months in advance..and that was the only highlight of the meal.

Did you use a travel agent to book?

We used Lisa Jones from Santa Barbara Travel for our trip but we booked our excursions ourselves.

Thanks for the tips! We are looking to book the motu picnic as 1 of our excursions and our travel agent gave us a gift excursion when we booked with her of snorkeling and feeding black tipped sharks.

I worked with a woman named Cory who works from NYC and if you would like her info, message me and I will pass it on.

While we were working with Cory, I was also looking into Liberty Travel. We received a better deal with Cory but Liberty led us to a website for booking excursions. Here is the link (http://www.tahiti-tours.com) but in order to get the list of excursions, you need to e-mail the company. They are quick to answer and they provide so many activities for each island. If you send me your e-mail, I can forward you the attachment I received if you want.
