Tahiti in June-From those who asked me to post some more pictures

Some of the pictures are from our over water bungalow, the deck and from inside of it. some are from some excursions we did. ENJOY. IF you can believe it these pictures don't even do Bora Bora Justice. There are no words to describe how gorgeous it is.

Actually - i just saw this -

This is always the big question: what is the weather going to be like when I take my vacation in the month of ........???

Please understand that this is a tropical region subject to intermittent rainstorms throughout the year, without any predictable frequency, pattern or particular location.

There is NO real 'dry' season, and it may rain at anytime during your stay. However, there is no monsoon, there are NO cyclones, and there is a LOT of sunshine.

PLEASE NOTE: there is NO predicting or guessing the weather, and weather considerations should not be a factor in choosing your travel dates.

Supposedly there are two 'seasons': the slightly warmer and more humid period between November and March when rains can fall intermittently, and the dryer season between May and October.

In practical reality, the are are no real seasons in Tahiti and no weather pattern . There will be showers in the 'dryer' season and there will be a lot of sunshine in the 'rainier' season, which is why these islands are so beautiful and lush.

Rain comes in the form of warm tropical storms that usually arrive quickly, and disappear just as fast. It can rain buckets suddenly in 1 spot for 15 minutes followed by a bright sunshine, while 1/4 mile down the road, it's been totally dry!

As for the the temperature, there is no noticeable variation throughout the year. Its warm, but very pleasantly so, and many hotels do not have air -conditioning as it is not needed.
So, do not plan your vacation around any weather expectations. It's irrelevant because it cannot be predicted.

The Overall Climate: French Polynesia has a climate ranging from subtropical in the southern archipelagos near the Tropic of Capricorn (Gambier and Austral Islands) to steamy and equatorial in the Marquesas Islands to the north.

I don't really have any specific questions, I am just excited to find another person who has stayed there. I guess my only question would be were you really happy with the place?

EveEden,

I do enjoy the resort and found the people to be really nice and friendly. The only thing I my do differently was stay on the main motu where all the restaurants were bc as you know you need to take a water taxi over to town and all the other restaurants.
