Hi - any girls going to any of these islands for their honeymoon?? Can you please give me an idea of how out of control expensive it is? We are gonig to meet with our travel agent this weekend and I have a feeling it's going to be way over our budget.

i tried pricing this out ... it came to about $8k (minimum) for a week ... plus whatever we'd spend.
there's a cruise that goes from hawaii to Tahiti which, if i remember correctly, was a pretty good price but i don't remember too many more details (i think the timing just didn't work for us)

ETA: we were looking for August / Sept which is 'peak' time ... you might find better deals

If you check out the honeymoon section, I bumped up the Tahiti/Bora Bora threads. They're very long (and one of them is pretty old) but you can get a ton of info from there!

if your planning on taking a cruise there - they only going during our winter months. during our spering and summer months the water is too choppy i was told

depends when you're going but usually it's harder to find a great deal in the dry season... I contacted a bunch of travel agents and in the end I felt I got a good deal from what they all had to offer.
If you're watching your budget you might want to take the ferry to Moorea instead of flying.
Also depending on what types of hotels you go to you can easily spend $$$. The food is definitely very pricey there, especially onsite of the hotel. Read the Honeymoon threads - they were VERY helpful.
