Take a minute...

My BILs 19 year old cousin was killed in a crash this past Saturday. I didn't know him well but I know his family. It's terrible. I can't stop thinking about this poor family. Just looking at a search under his name to read the news articles and I came across a motorcyle forum where they are all trashing him for being a stupid kid who didn't know how to ride. A drunk driver caused the accident, not him! The driver is now up for manslaughter so that tells you whose fault it is. I can't believe how people judge not even knowing the truth. A young life was lost - and this kid was apparantely an angel and shining light to anyone's life he touched.

Anyway...it really makes you think about what is important in life. Of course we all get caught up in the day-to-day stuff and that's not easy to change. But this whole thing has me taking a minute....

I'm so sorry for your family... try as hard as you can not to let those comments upset you, EVERY TIME there is a story like that on an online news website people write totally insensitive off-the-wall stuff. My friend's dad got killed by a train while working on the tracks and everyone wrote stuff about him being stupid and careless causing his own death... imagine being the guy's daughter reading that? People on those sites just sit around all day writing stupid garbage and it can be so hurtful.
Maybe you can try to do something nice for the family like order food to be delivered there or something, maybe that will make you feel better.

Yes that's the one. It's being reported as Glen Cove, Glen Head and East Hills. They all must intertwine at that point.

It's a dangerous 'sport' for anyone. But so are many things ie: playing football, flying planes, etc. You can't stop a person from what they love to do.

I know what you mean. People don't think. They just try to make themselves feel better about what they do and aren't worried about who else it might affect.
