Take along swing Vs. regular sized swing

I'm trying to figure out which I should register for.

I registered for both and got both and USE both. The travel one is great for trips to family/friends. I have the aquarium travel and its great cause it lights up and plays music. It folds up nicely so I just leave it in the truck. The full size one I have is a Graco and just has a teddy bear mobile with music. It all depends on whether or not you think you'll use it. The travel one is also great for me to carry into the basement or upstairs.

I have both and used both often. In fact Molly still fits into her regular size swing and goes it in every once in a while.But it is finally coming down this weekend I will miss it.

The travel swing was used for visits to my MIL in MA and when we went to my parents for a few hours on weekends. It kept Molly very happy and she would nap it in often. BUT it is low to the ground so my back would kill me if I had to take her in and out of it all the time. I like the regular size swing for our home.
Again, if space is an issue just get the travel one.

I got the travel swing, but never really used it to travel, I think i brought it to my parents once. Friends have the full sized swing and she seems to like that much better, I think because she is not down so low and has more to look at....but now she's going to be too heavy for them anyway soon, so I'm just sticking with the travel swing. If I had it to do over, I would have gotten the full sized.

I have only the travel one and a couple of my friends did the same and said you dont need the big one.... I had the big one on my registry and took it off, Samantha loves the take a long and naps in it every morning, I take it from room to room

I vote for the regular size one... my son was ten-five, and didnt get much use for the portable one-- actually I only put him in it once...

My son hated the travel swing. I ended up giving it away so I dont know if my daughter would have liked it. I did put her in one the other day that belongs to a friend and she seemed to like it.

They both like the big one though.

Thanks Ladies!

I think I'm going to go for the full sized one. The floorplan of our home is really open and it is a one level so I shouldn't need to move it to much. My main concern was price and word of mouth since I was only planning on registering for one or the other.

I didn't even think of having to bend down all the time if I just have the travel one! argh!
And even though I'll be doing alot of flights and long drives with the baby it will only be to our parents homes and most likely due to us living in Florida the baby won't even be put down long enough to sit in a swing.
