Taking a break....

I've been off the boards for a few days now. They always say every couple has a story to tell of things gone awry right before their wedding.

Here's mine: My fiance was hospitalized last Wed with pancreatitis and is expected to remain hospitalized at least for another week. Thank goodness no surgery was needed and just fluids and antibiotics. But I am so drained right now. I am completely out of wedding mode. My parents have been a very good support. I've decided to delay sending the invitations out. The calligraphy is beautiful. I cannot seem to get back in the planning mode (actually finalizing for us). I've even toyed with the idea of just getting married bedside. I am too tired for all of the festivities to come. He will make a full recovery and has a good medical team. Trying to get back into wedding mode, but I cannot not. Right now I want my babe back at home with me. Thanks for listening guys.

I'm sorry to hear about your FH ..



I'm sure he will be fine, but I can imagine that wedding planning is the last thing on your mind. Once he gets through this, you will be back into the swing of it. And even if you aren't, what really matters is that the two of you are together .. you will do what is best for you, and we are here to 'vent' to whenever you need to

Just take some time to relay and focus on your FI. When hets home you can get back into finalizing. His health and yours and the most important. Good Luck!

You still have a few months before the wedding - just let yr mom & MOH handle the invits etc.

As you always told us brides - we dont want to look back & say ' i should have....'

You will have yr wedding as planned with a healthty FH & things will be wonderful!!

Just rest up for now & relax....you had all yr songs picked - so we cant let that go to waste can we.....big

i think a break from it all is what you need - and if you choose to postpone your wedding until FH get sbetter, I'm sure your vendors will work with you!

I know how you feel but once FH is home and recuperating you'll get back into the swing of things.

I would not delay the invitations. If he makes a speedy recovery and you delay them then guests may not be able to come with such short notice. If things change you can always have people call guests to alert them.

And your wedding is 2 months away. He should be OK by then. I wouldn't do shots of tequila at the wedding if I were him but some moderate dancing should be OK if dr. says so.

I'm sorry to hear that. I think it would be a good idea to chill out right now with the wedding stuff. Before you know it, he will be home and you will be back in wedding mode. Hang in there.. everything will work out.

Im so sorry! Thankgod your Fh will be ok!!! I dont blame you for not wanting to be in wedding mode..I hated planning my wedding and we just had average stressors...so I cant even imagine how you are feeling!!!! Just wnated to send you lots of hugs!!
