Taking my LAST and ATS-W Tomorrow... Freaking Out!
So it's almost 11pm and I should be sleeping.. but I am soooooo very anxious and nervous about my exams tomorrow. I should be excited, since in December I will finally be finished with my Masters of Education (which I worked my butt off for!) But I have never been a great test taker, so instead, I am trying to calm myself before falling off to sleep.
The remedy for my worries: LIW Ofcourse!
So wish me luck.. I'm going to try and think positive thoughts. I think the anticipation of the test is actually worse than the test itself.
Ok, really going to bed now... Good Night ladies~! And thanks for listening...

I hate taking tests too! I took them all...thought I failed each one and passed..
One thing that helped me the most was on NYSTCE website they give u a two page sample test. If you have time tonight or tomorrow AM try to scan through them. It really calmed me because it gave me a better perspective of what to expect. Just think common sense. You will know the answers!
Good luck and stay calm! Oh one more tip! I found that chewing a minty gum during the tests kept me alert! I know it may sound crazy, but it helped!!!!

Lots of luck! I'm taking those next month. To calm your nerves, I have a review book for the tests and the ATS-W looks pretty easy. I know a few people who have taken them and I think you will do fine. Just take a deep breath and relax! Let us know how it goes!

good luck, i missed the deadline i need to retake my last, i failed it by 1 stinkin point errrrr
take your time, try and do the essay first , so you know with the mutltiple choice your almost done...

oh man dont worry.. they are so easy it is a joke. They focus sooo much on differentiated instruction or at least when I took it they did..it was like the same question with differetn examples all over again

Good Luck, I am sure you will do great- I found the LAST to be harder--but that was a couple of years ago!!!! You will do great!!!!

I took them MANY years ago when they first started giving them. There were no classes or study guides so I took the cold. My suggestion, read the essays first so you can gauge your time wisely and keep your essay thoughts in the back of your head while you take the rest of the test. Good luck!

Good luck....dont be nervous! They werent as bad as i though they were going to be...I still have to take my CTS in math arggggh now that makes me nervous!

I know Im posting a little bit late- but im a HORRIBLE test taker literally- My SAT score was cr@p but I managed to pass all 3 exams by some miracle (mind you I took the exams before I had even began any education classes!!) So im sure you will do GREAT!!! Good luck and let us know!!!!

I can't say thank you enough for all your kind words of encouragement! I just got home, and all I can say is I'm glad they are over! As if taking the test wasn't stressful enough, I had to fight for parking for almost an hour!! I love Queens and all, but this morning, I wasn't feeling the love back! So I took the LAST first, which I wanted someone to pluck my eyes out! They were so heavy, and the questions were so very boring.. but I got through them.. THe essay wasn't too horrible, I think I managed to get by. Took the ATS-W Secondary next... didn't realize how tired (and HOT!!) I was until the test started.. but I found that one to be much better as it actually related to the classroom setting Go figure! So now all I have left is that CST in Biology and I'm outta school in December forever... or until I feel the urge to go into administration Don't think that will be ANY time soon!
