I had a WONDERFUL experience with Fantasia Bridal this weekend... and I'm so glad that they let you take pictures of yourself as you are trying on the gowns! makes it so much easier to narrow down your selection and remember when yo uget home...
my question --- Which other Bridal salons on LI allow you to freely take pictures? My Bridesmaids are all home this weekend for Thanksgiving and we want to go shopping for their dresses, but I want to be able to go to a place that lets you take pictures... we're going to go to Fantasia, but they don't carry the designer my girls were interested in so i want a few more options (and maybe something closer to Massapequa than Rocky Point :) )
THANK YOU!!

Re: taking pix of your gowns in the store?
That is funny, I have been there many times, and they always told me I couldn't take pictures. I even had the camera out, and they came right over to me. All the salons said I could take a picture when I bought a dress.
They have great customer service though.
I don't know of any other salon that will let you take pictures. I think they might be more easy on you if its just BM dresses. Adreiennes in Islip, Bridal Suite in Centereach, Wedding World in Commack (Not Commack weddin center, different place). Macys Smithaven mall.

Wow, that's so funny... I went to Adrienne's and they wouldn't let me take a picture!
But Fantasia everyone was taking pictures.... so weird.... everyone has their own rules i guess?
I just want my BMs to be able to take pictures and compare since theyre different body types, etc..

Davids bridal in the Source mall had no problems with it. Brides or bridesmaid too.

Re: taking pix of your gowns in the store?
yeah, Adrienne's told me I could only take a picture after I put money down. Fantasia's philosophy, which I agree with, is that everyone's looking online for ideas anyway and you're going to wind up going with the place whose service you liked the best in the end, and you need to remember what you looked like in the dress to compare, so what's the big deal? i agree! i wish the other place was like that, cause I loved one dress at Fantasia and one at Adrienne's, but I dont have a picture of me in the one at Adrienne's, so it's really hard to remember :(

Was this before or after ordering? And - was this bridal gowns or BM dresses? I was NOT allowed to take pics there (she allowed me one actually).
Fantasia let me take pics and it was awesome... Really helped me narrow down the choices.

I was there this weekend too! Saturday, I couldn't believe how freely they let you do it.
Bridal Suite of Centereach will let you, occasionally the one in Bayshore on Main Street will also let you. In my experience Bayshore didn't even bother you when it was for the Bridemaids.
Good Luck.
If they say no go in the dressing room with one of the girls and snap the pic in there it always works.

I've never heard of anywhere letting you take pics while trying on. We got yelled at!

Re: taking pix of your gowns in the store?
I could not take pictures in most places. At one place I had a woman in the room with me the whole time. I asked if I could take pictures and they said after I bought my dress.
