FH gets a message on facebook from a friend of ours who a few months ago invited himself and his gf to our wedding. we didnt send them an invitation, they werent originally on the list and we're tight on space. anyway, he gets this facebook message today:
'hey man, i dont mean to be like w t f, but w t f do you need my new address? i moved to west babylon and i need an invitation so i know when and where the wedding is'

we dont even know how to respond. backstory, we were all really tight, then he up and disappeared for like, two years, only started hanging out again this past december. its also extra awkward bc him and one of my bffs/bm's had a little thing.

i'm hoping bc he's a guy he just doesnt know that its that rude? i mean, friends of FH's had to tell people they arent invited to his bachelor party bc people were inviting themselves.

Re: talk about awkward
psyco!!! but it sounds like they really really want to come. if you dont invite them, it sounds like you may end up having a fight on your hands or some hurt feelings. if you want to keep the peace and keep them around as friends you may want to just send them an invite.. depends on how much you like them! haha

Re: talk about awkward
Do you hang out with him often? Honestly, there's no good answer here. Either you ignore it altogether or you tell him what's what - sorry you're not invited. No matter how you slice it, he's gonna be pissed and will probably never realize how rude he was being.

Re: talk about awkward
wow thats weird, I think it needs to be addressed immediately - either invite them or tell ur FH to let them know they are not invited and be prepared to lose the friendship b/c it sounds like this fellow would be more than mildly offended...

Re: talk about awkward
i'd give him the same line i've been giving my coworkers since i got engaged. we are planning a small wedding and since we are paying for it ourselves money's really tight.
honestly since this guy has been so straight up, he deserves for your FH to be straight up with him. whether he likes the answer or not.
