One of my friends is getting married in early November. I just received the invitation for her shower (got lost in the mail and arrived damaged in a plastic bag from USPS). Her shower is in 2 weeks! Is it me or is 8 months before the wedding REALLY early? Well, one thing is for sure...she'll never see it coming!

Yes, most bride's don't even finalize their registries that early. What's the big rush? I could understand if she was Jan or Feb or even March and you want to take care of it before the holidays.
I hope she doesn't want any seasonal items.
On the plus side she will be surprised.

They completed their registry nearly a year ago. They were in a rush because they included registry information with their engagement party invitations (terribly tacky in my opinion).
The groom's friends were so offended by the inclusion of registry information that they went to a Mikasa outlet and bought random things to give as gifts just to make a point. I, personally, thought that was nearly as tacky as the initial offense.

That is early and I thought mine was early (march 13, I know since they have to get me to NY and it was difficult) for july 9, date twin.
