Okay. So FH found not one but TWO lizards today. I thought I'd seen the end of reptiles last week.
This morning I was just getting up and FH had gone into the bthroom. He came back with a cup in his hand and he said 'I've got a lizard for you?' and I said 'no, what's really in the cup.' It was a tiny lizard. EW. What's really skeevy is that he founbd it by stepping on it with his pinky toe. Both FH and the lizard were fine, no animals were harmed in the making of my freak out. *sigh*
So we called the landlord. FH thought ti was no big deal but it really gives me the skeeves.
So the LL's son came and said they'd spray and I said no, I don't want to kill them I just want you to find where they're getting in and close it up. He said the bees have been coming fomr a beehive in the chimney (GREAT) but that was supposed to be taken down today, and the window where he thinks they're getting in was caulked. Then as we were leaving tonight. FH says 'Shhh..I hear something..' and I was JOKING and I said 'Is it a lizard?'...and he looked and it WAS a lizard crawling on a bag so it crinkled. EW.
They're really cute outside...but eww..and when i heard it scurrying in the cup...ewwwwwww
I love animals and I realy do think the lizard are adorable. I just DON'T want them in the house.

Re: TALK about SKEEVATZ
garden City park, near Adelphi. I used to see them when I went to school on the Adelphi campus. maybe they come form the golf course? There are TONS of them around here. Someone must have let pets go YEARS ago and they have no natural predators around here b/c they're not indigenous, so now they're all over? I dunno. That's my speculation. There's a huge golf course nearby.

WOW I wish some cute lizards were in my neighborhood. All I have is possums and raccoons and squirrels. I would love to play with one of those lizards... that is if they don't bite!

I dout they bite. It wouldnlt hurt anyway..they are SO small. The racoons and possums would eat them. That's why they live here. So far I haven't even seena squirel. Just bees, toehr assorted bugs and TONS of lizards. They love my lawn....AND my apartment, unfortunately.

Re: TALK about SKEEVATZ
That's really awful. I bet they're coming in because it's getting cooler outside. But don't they hibernate or something? They could be finding spots in your house!!!! Don't mean to freak you out, but

Re: TALK about SKEEVATZ
Garden World was a big nursery ...sold shurbs, bushes, trees, palnts, flowers etc. They closed doen ..it was a big lot and once they closed all the lizards fled.....it is really strange seeing them around here ..it is something you see in florida all the time, but around here it still kinda creeps me out.

ROFL. I guess Adelphi and QC are better than Hofstra and UPENN because these lizards have figured out how to get in, and we haven't figured out where that is yet!
