if cost were not the object, what should one know?
Do any come with a permanent flash, so we don't need to worry about guests forgetting to turn it on?
Aren't Kodak better than no-brand wedding ones?
What speed is available and best for dark rooms?
Anything else??? Thanks.

No, I don't think they have 'auto flash' one time use cameras.
Personally I don't think Kodak is better than Fuji but is definitely better than some film brands. It's personal preferance.
I would go w/ a minimum of 400 speed (or you can use 800) b/c you want the pictures to come out clear and not dark and muddy.

Now my ignorance is going to show. What is the difference between 400 and 800 speed? Do they make both in disposable cameras? Which is better? Should I look for one over the other for indoor shots? What do you think the price difference might be? If one is really better, I'd rather pay extra and buy fewer cameras. What do you think, please? Thank you.

We are using Kodak because that is my camera and film of choice. We are getting them from Costco. They are $12.95 for three cameras. I am not worried about them being yellow. I just want good quality pics in the end.

I wouldn't worry about them being yellow or green for that matter! The last wedding I went to, they were in this little silver pouch on the table with a little note tag. The tag had instructions (it rhymed... so bummed I didn't grab it) telling guests to snap pictures of their special day blah blah blah and then be so kind as to return the camera to the camera basket located at the gift table. It was really cute. It didn't matter that they were yellow.
The little pouch was so cute. Not only that, but it made it clear to people that they weren't to take it home, the camera was for the bride and groom. People don't always know that.

I bought the Staples cameras that were on sale a while back. I used one for my bachelorette party to check it out and they worked great. I am going to put something about using the flash on the cards I place on the table and possibly have the DJ make an announcement about using the cameras and not forgetting the flash!!

with the flash... your suppose to be able to tell the developing people that it was taken in a dark area and they can lighten up the picture... someone on here said that

The higher the # the fast the speed. Photography is all about light hitting the particles on the film- which is why some photos are blurry when there isn't enough light. 800 'recycles' quicker to the next frame but 400 is fine for inside as long as there's a flash.
