Re: TALK To DH/FH MUCH ON THE....
Michael calls me a thousand times a day. If I am busy at work and can't talk to him or have to keep putting him on hold, he gets mad. I feel the same way, I love hearing his voice.

Re: TALK To DH/FH MUCH ON THE....
My FH sleeps all day (he works midnights) so we don't talk until he wakes up around 4 pm, and then I leave at 5 to come home. But on his days off he must call me at least 6-8 times, mainly out of sheer boredom.

Re: TALK To DH/FH MUCH ON THE....
God we did that in the beginning and when you have absolutely nothing to say to each other after the 100th time you speak to him, then you FIGHT..about nothing.
Now it's down to three times a day which I still think is too much and I'm hoping it goes down to two.

Re: TALK To DH/FH MUCH ON THE....
brian works 1:30p - 10:30p so we probably call each other about 10 times before he has to leave for work. on his days off about 20 times we speak to each other during the day. and its nothing even important.

Re: TALK To DH/FH MUCH ON THE....
I talk to him 3-4 times a day. But since I only see him 1-2 times a month, the phone is the majority of our relationship

Re: TALK To DH/FH MUCH ON THE....
Tom really isn't much of a phone person so I really only call him if its important or I have something juicy to tell him so probably about once a day. We are email freaks though and we constantly email back and forth all day long with jokes and goofy things.

Re: TALK To DH/FH MUCH ON THE....
When we first started dating, we called each other all day long. But now that we have been together 7 years, its not like there is a lot of new stuff for us to say to each other. He calls me at least once a day just to say hi and we usually have at least one other call about some question like 'what are we doing for dinner?' or 'what time are you coming home?' or 'what is the doctors name?' but thats it.

Once or twice a day, any more than that would be too much for me.
What do you possibly have to talk about??????

If Patrick is bored, he calls 50 times a night, otherwise he'll call once to see how my day was and to tell me how he and Arnold spent the afternooon.

Re: TALK To DH/FH MUCH ON THE....
With the exception of tax season Steve must call me 10 times a day on his days off because he is bored, when he is at the firehouse I usually get a call in the evening and one before he goes to bed to day goodnight

Re: TALK To DH/FH MUCH ON THE....
We talk about 3 or 4 times during the day. More when he is off of work - then he calls me almost constantly with nothing to say. It makes me crazy sometimes. Of course I love to hear from him but he drags on the conversation when there isn't one. Conversely when I don't hear from him, I wonder what he's doing

Re: TALK To DH/FH MUCH ON THE....
We talk alot but we do go through phases depending upon how busy work is for either one of us. We now are on Instant Messenger all day so if I am not chatting with him or chatting here then I am sometimes actually working!

Re: TALK To DH/FH MUCH ON THE....
Since my hubby is a tad on the neurotic side , he calls me at 9:20 to see if I'm at work yet. If I don't ring his cell phone when I get in, he starts stressing and calling in the troops to find out where I am! For instance, there was a time before we got married and the facility guy (he was a kid about 21) was in the market for buying a guitar and Joe was selling his. So I called Joe to ask how much and told him I would get back to him after I talked to the kid. Since I was at work, one thing led to another and I never got a chance to call Joe back about the guitar. Well you will never believe what happened next!! HE FLIPPED OUT and must have called my voicemail about 20 times in 5 minutes (you should've seen his cell phone bill and the itemized list of how many times he called me ) and when he finally got me, he was like 'where were you and what were you doing'. I was like huh? He thought I went off to some broom closet (like we even have closets here) with this kid and was having a fling!!! (I'm sitting here cracking up thinking about it!) I've never seen him act like that and it was the MOST ridiculous thing I ever heard of!!! Since I was going to lunch, he asked for the phone number in there and called to make sure that's where I was. I'm telling you, Joe is not insecure AT ALL and this thing came out of left field. It was hysterical!!!! I think he was nervous about the wedding and just freaking over stupidity. He laughs about it now!
I went off on a tangent, sorry! To get back to the phone calls -- I can't call him at work, so he calls me at 9:20, during his lunch break and when he gets home. But he is by far not a phone person! When he calls from work, he's constantly b*tching about his job/boss/whatever, and when he gets home he's tired/dirty/taking a shower, so our conversations last all of 2 minutes. The only time we really fight is about the phone -- he can't stand staying on it and yapping and I don't want him to get off!!
