I am 99% sure I have found my gown at a place I love but, found it cheaper in another store that isnt so great. Can you ask them to beat the price?

Re: Talking down the price of your gown
it really depends on what store. Some places are NOT price negotiaters.... they want what they want becausethey think they deserve it and will wait for someone who will pay them what they want lol

Tell the store you love about the other price. They may be more willing to negotiate if they think they're going to lose your sale. Definitely ask... you've got nothing to lose!

Tell them about the price if not you can always go with another store if you know your size.

I would just be honest and tell the store you love that you found it cheaper somewhere else, but would rather do business with them. I bet ya they will work with you, especially if customer service is a priority with them.

Re: Talking down the price of your gown
it cant hurt to ask.. the worse they say is no... what is wrong with the other store that you found it at a cheaper price? sometimes you have to weigh out whats more important, if its not a huge difference in price it may be worth it to get it from the store that you feel comfortable with knowing that you will not have any problems

There are some stores that are just non negotiable- but I would give it a try and see what happens.

Re: Talking down the price of your gown
Definitely!! Just tell them. I did this and got Bridal Reflections in Carle Place to knock 10%-15% off (I forget which one it was now).
My question did not even phase the manager. She was like 'Sure, we can.'

Yes ask them, whats the worst that happens-they say they cant do it.
Just tell them you love the dress but you saw it somewhere else for cheaper can they match it? If they say no, just say ok I have to make a decision thank you and leave. Even if you intend on buying it there.
This is what I did, granted if I could go back i would have spent more NOT to have teh drama I did with my dress, but I saved ALOT inthe end

I agree. If they want your business and your BP's as well they should at least price match. They may be able to throw in your slip or alterations for free if they don't come down on the price of the gown. Give it a shot! You have nothing to lose!
