Have you ever been to a wedding and heard people talking smack either during or after the wedding? I have been to a few weddings in which some people say really mean things.

o yea!....FH and I went to a wedding a month ago and the bride catering ran out of food and people talked about her like a dog

The reason I posted this is because I have heard some really mean things said about other people's weddings, and I think that it has added extra stress to the whole wedding planning process. It's really annoying b.c they turn to me and say things like, ' Just remember that for YOUR wedding you shouldn't do what she did...or make sure you do this... etc.' It's really annoying b.c I just sit there and wonder... 'Hmmm, I wonder what you will say about my wedding?'

i've complained about food too, but only to my fh or family AFTER, never to other guests or so others can hear. that's really rude, people are like that no matter what you do, most people live to complain and find the negative. someone will complain about our weddings no matter what we do, but it makes them look bad, not us.

I think it's ok to say 'I didn't like the food' AFTER the wedding. But it's just a little upsetting how messed up people can be. I was at a wedding recently and OMG the comments! It was terrible. I thought everything was nice, but holy crap some people were cruel!

I have definitely commented on aspects of weddings that I didn't like, but ONLY to FH or my mom... I would never do it while I was at the event and I would never let it leave my immediate family or FH. I am fine with people having opinions about my wedding, for example, just as long as I don't hear a peep about it!

I have commented about weddings but would never tell the bride or groom because if they had an amazing day does it really matter that I had to bus my own dishes and the staff ******.....when it comes down to it as long as I had a great day thats all that matters....I'm sure there is someone at every wedding that has a complaint

Well, the only wedding where I've had anything to say things about was my FBIL's. I love him to death but his wife and I weren't on the best terms at the time, and there were just things she did to us/me/his family that were really crapppy. The wedding itself was great though.
People always have something negative to say! FH says, 'You meet an @sshole everyday!'

EXACTLY! I already know what they are going to say. They are going to say the following:
1) This place looks like a regular living room! 2) ugh, the ceilings are so low! 3) where are the crystal chandeliers? 4) Yuck! The floor is wood ...not marble! 5) You can tell she is broke...she is 'alternating' b/w high and low CP. 6) How come the bride and groom are not on a platform? 7) I can't believe the bride and groom were a part of the CH! 8) This room is weird...it's sooo long ! 9) what? no favors? 10) No vienese hour?

usually the food i will say something but NEVER at the wedding. I'll say it to DH after we leave.
Other than that i dont say things about the other stuff.
A wedding has to be REAL bad for me to complain. I went to one wedding where EVERYONE was complaining outloud, i was standing there just thinking 'omg the B&G might hear them or a close family member' but it was bad and not bc of personal decor but no consideration for the guests lol

ITA. We will all have SOMEONE who has something to complain about. As long as we are happy, then I don't care - they can go jump in a lake

at my cousins wedding people were complaining out loud about having to wait at the buffet line....i have to agree with them though...it was really long and annoying!!!

I think we've all talked about weddings after the fact, I mean we all know what we like and what we don't like, and to talk to someone about it is fine....but AT THE ACTUAL WEDDING?!?!?!?!?!?!? That's incredibly shallow and tacky, in all honesty, don't let other people run the show, this is your wedding, your day and if someone has something to say about it, too bad, people are going to talk, but don't let it interfere with your day!!!
