Being 6 ft tall, I have been trying to find a nice shoe to wear. I'm not really thrilled with the ballet slipper although I have not ruled it out. If anyone out there has this problem or has seen nice shoes without such a big heel, I would love to hear from you. My FH and I are exactly eye to eye, but I am extremely sensitive about my height since I have towered over the world most of my life. Is it rude to ask FH to wear lifts in his shoes if I end up with a heel so we are still eye to eye?

Re: Tall Brides???
I'm not exactly a tall bride - I'm 5' 7', but my FI is 5' 5'. I got these shoes with a 1' heel. The website is eweddingshoes.com and they have a few styles with lower heels.
I didn't think you and FH saw 'eye to eye' at anytime . 1/2 or 1 inch heel should make too much difference.

Re: Tall Brides???
i told my fh that he has to wear lifts and i am going to wear as flat of a shoe as i can, possibly ballet slippers and also those new chinese slippers in white. i think they would be great because they are so comfortable!!!!!!!!!

Re: Tall Brides???
I'm 5'9' and am able to wear heels because FH is 6'2'. I am being cautious about not havng too much height in my hair, because that might just put me over the top.

Re: Tall Brides???
I'm having the same problem and I also don't want ballet slippers either, so I decided to go with a small heel, less than 1 inch, in order to get a few more options. Attached are pictures of a few pairs I ordered this week from ShoeBuy.com. I will pick the best one and return the others. Good Luck..
I'm 5'11' and FH is 6'3' I plan on these shoes, but will try not to add height to the top of my head.
I told FH I mite have him do lifts... or those Dr. Scholls gels ...besides tuxedo shoes are never comfy!
these are 1 1/2' check out www.bridalshoes.com
they have a collection of low heel shoes.

Re: Tall Brides???
Good question, I never really thought of this before even though there is only an inch between my FI and I. I have a stupid question what are lifts for the guys? There are so many problems being tall girls like us - I'm 5'11 by the way.

Re: Tall Brides???
Finally, some beautiful shoes with a nice low heel. Once I pick the shoes, I will try them on and see how much of a difference there seems to be between me and my FI. That way maybe he won't have to have a lift in his shoe. Anyone have any ideas if they are comfortable or not?
