Tall Grass Bride- Chateau La Mer Questions

Hey girls,

Thank you SO much for all of your advice with my Tall Grass situation. I can't tell you how much you have helped me so far!

We are going to look at two more places before we make a decision.

Chateau La Mer and The Old Field Club. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

I couldn't believe how affordable Chateau La Mer is! It is right up my Tall Grass alley!

I have a few questions for CLM brides:

1. Are there two weddings in one day held there?

2. Has anyone seen the ballroom for 110-130 people?

3. Has anyone seen the chapel?

If we do not like these last two places we are going with Smithtown Landing CC.

Any pics would be great! Thank you SO much!

Not sure what you are looking for, but if you are looking for an on the water venue, check out Danfords in Port Jefferson. Beautiful, charming place with fantastic prices, and hotel on site!

Hi!
There are 2 weddings at a time there. They stagger them so they don't start or end at same time. if you have the main ballroom (downstairs) you need to guarantee a minimum of 150 people. If you have less than 150 then you have to take the upstairs room.

The chapel is nice it is on the lower level below the ballroom.

Good luck!

May be a little late for this but I saw the upstairs room (that's where we're having ours) and it's really nice. They're redoing it too. New walls, new carpet, and a dome over the dance floor.

They do 2 weddings but they're staggered so the first wedding starts 5-5:30 and the second starts 7-7:30 so you're in your reception by the time the second wedding starts. If you're upstairs at the earlier time, which is what we're doing, that's even better because you don't have to compete with the other wedding or have gawkers looking in at your reception.
