Tan suit for saturday night wedding??

FH wants to wear a tan suit, and I don't mind the idea, but I was wondering if it is inappropriate for a saturday night wedding? We are getting married at the place (Tall Grass CC), and I am going for a more casual low key look. Just wondering what your thoughts are on this?

We're doing tan suits for a Saturday night wedding. We're going for a beachy wedding. It depends what kind of wedding you want. My FH isn't the 'black tux kind of guy'.

im thinking of doing the same thing...my wedding is at timber point...im going for the same 'low key' thing, and i think it will look fabulous :)

I went to a Saturday night wedding in Massachusetts this weekend and they wore tan suits.

I say go for it!! Especially if you want a more low-key laid back type wedding! Just make sure you somehow spread the word to the guests thats its not an overly formal affair so none of them come dressed fancier than the groom

My FBIL and his fiance are marrying on Saturday August 18th in the evening. Their ceremony will be on the beach (Smith Point) and the reception is at Tall Grass. They had FH and his brothers all go and buy a tan Nautica Suit that was on sale at Macy's for $200. Its a really nice suit!
I think that Tall Grass is the kind of place where a Tan suit would be perfect! I will post pics after their wedding next month!

It depends on the overall feel of the wedding, I think. My husband wore a tan suit at our wedding, although we were married on a Sunday morning. I think if you get married when it's still light out, and it's a casual, garden or beachy kind of wedding, it's fine. If it's more formal, and your ceremony is after dark, a dark suit would be more appropriate.

Thanks...I agree! The ceremony will be outside and it will still be light out, and I love the way all of the tan suits look, so we are definitley going to do that. Thanks for all of the replies!!
