I need to get a tan..badly. I was asked by the florist to get some color or I will look really pale near the white flowers.
Anyway, with less than a month to the wedding I was wondering if I should go tanning. I usually burn and then it fades- any other suggestions?
TIA

Re: Tanning
I don't know if that is going to work. I have very sensitive skin- if I spray perfume I get a reaction. I don't want to chance getting a rash right before the wedding. Thanks!

Re: Tanning
the florist said that to you! W-T-F im very pale naturally so i would have punched someone if they said that to me! i have a complex when i dont have a tan b/c im REALLY pale - like people are always asking if im sick and i get really offended and pissed off - especially b/c staten island is full of tanorexics so the pale people really stand out i go for airbrush tans - maybe you can try laying out in the sun? with spf on of course - you will still get some color...just wear a tube top maybe?

i have sensitive skin and I do it. Try it out now so you know if it is an option or not.
I am either going to be pale for the wedding or spray tanned haven't decided yet.

Yes I was about to take my deposit back! I was pissed, but he was right. I really am pale. I have always had a complex about being so pale, especially since my sisters call me chicken meat....

I think I might try it this weekend- just to see if it has a reaction on my skin. THanks!

that's what I plan on doing as well. You can't get much whiter than me! I don't want to take a chance and tan unevenly or peel so I'm going to brazil bronze. I'll try it out before the wedding first...I've heard it's awesome.

Re: Tanning
I went tanning 3 times before the wedding
I went to beachbum and i went in their most expensive bed, it was $30 for 10 minutes
I did not get burned at all, and it gave me some color.
If you go tanning dont go in the cheaper beds because you will defin get burned.
Or you can lay out in the sun a few times with a strapless bathing suit so you dont get tan lines.
Start off with an SPF 30, then SPF 15 and then maybe an SPF 10 So you gradually get color and do not burn

Re: Tanning
yeah just try the spray tan - the guy i go to has different levels on tan - of course the lightest tans look the most natural on people who are pale like us! ive also tried out the really dark tans - and that can look a little unnatural - but a real tan also looks unnatural to me - like when someone is SUPER dark - it cant hurt to try!

Re: Tanning
Thats really ridiculous of the florist to say. There have been many pale brides, take Nicole Kidman for example. If you want to tan, tan, but dont do it because the florist told you, you had to. What about Jergen's natural glow?

I want to get some color because I think it makes you look thinner...
I don't know if the Jergen's stuff really works-

I think the same thing!! I think my arms dont look as fat when they are thin
Jergen's give you a faint tint, probably not what you want though
