I am ridiculously pale, and need to get some color before wearing a white dress. I'm going to sign up for a package at a tanning salon, but have no idea how often I should go and how many times. I'm under the one month mark, so I need to get moving. Any advice?

I'm pale too but I usually get a tan after the initial burn. If you are the same way, I would slather up and hit the beach this weekend.

I go to Oasis Tanning in Miller Place. The bed that I use only has UVA Rays so its impossible to burn. Im super pale like you are. Ive been going about once a week but I have much more time then you do. They do suggest every other day, but if you dont have access to a bed like the one I use, I would be very careful about burning.

I go to pacific tanning. They have 2 stores, one in Rocky Point & one it Selden. I just started going again last week. I have gone three times and have a really nice tan already but I tan easily. I would suggest to go in a standard 15 minute bed for about 10 minutes every other day until you have a base tan (unless you burn then you need to wait until the burn goes away before you go again). Then go as often as you would like until you are the color you want.

i would go every other day for 10 minutes…it's not so much the amount of time you spend in the booth but how many times per week you go.

Beach bum is great... There are many locations and they offer a bridal discount
I agree with the above posters to go every other day

Watch your face! The #1 advice my makeup artist gave me was to not let my face get too tan before the wedding!

I just looked online and there's a beach bum near my current apt and where I'm moving next week - so that sounds perfect. I gotta get over there and sign up. I'm def gonna ask for that bridal discount. Thanks for the tips ladies!

CRASHING.. Beach Bum Tanning all the way! && there are so many locations, the Ergoline bed is the best and you should start by going two days in a row (hoping for a little redness) skip 1 day then go as often as you can and tell them your getting married they will help you get the best lotion!

I have to urge you againt tanning beds. Even if you don't burn, you still increase your eventual risk of getting melanoma (most deadly form of skin cancer.) Just one session in a tanning bed of about 5 minutes is equivalent to an entire day on the beach without sunscreen.
I lost a very good friend to melanoma which she got after using tanning beds. It's worse than smoking. Please consider using sunless tanner or just wearing your pale skin proudly!

I vote for spray tan! If you are that pale (my fiance is too!) you will burn! Spray tanning will give you color without the risk of burning.

This! Beach Bum offers a great bridal package for new customers...I think mine was unlimited tanning for a month for $65.

I went for 10 minutes my first time in a 15 min bed and I burned so if you want to be safe maybe try 7 minutes and then if you are okay go for 8 minutes the next time and build like that. You might not see any difference in a short time but I would have rather that than be red!

Yeap I also went gradually & started with 5 minutes in a 10 minute bed
