tanning question

tanning question

I want to do the California Spray tan for the wedding. I've done it for years and it comes out great. I just don't know when to go!

I wanted to get tan for the rehearsal dinner (Thursday) but I want a great tan for the wedding day of course (Saturday).

Should I skip it for the RD and just go Friday for the wedding or should I go Wednesday for the rehearsal and use an at home tanner to touch up and deepen for the wedding?

Any other options you can think of? Opinions please!

Re: tanning question

Personally (I use Brazil Bronze...another spray tan that a person does it for you)...I would do Tuesday evening and then I would go Friday morning, lol.

If your tan lasts really really well from Wednesday night to Saturday usually, then I would say do that but in my experience, my tan does not fade at all the first two days but the third day it starts to fade a little bit so that would normally be ok for Saturday but I would want to look my best for the Wedding and not have it faded at all.

For example with my wedding and honeymoon, Im getting married on Sunday so Im going to go Friday night but then Im leaving for my HM on Tuesday night and Im going to go again on Tuesday morning or maybe Monday night to get it re-applied.

I would just exfoliate really well before the second time if you choose to do that since its so close together. Oh and test these many days apart before hand so you know what the second tan will look like on the first one which is fading. hope that makes sense

Thanks... unfortunately I don't have time to try it out just in case, but your idea makes sense :)

Re: tanning question

i go to the one in Great Neck. Its very very reasonable from the prices ive heard. Its 50 for a full body and 30 for half body (either waist up or down). Then I usually give about a 20% tip. The girl who does it is excellent!!!!!!!!!

I love love love it. I started going for the first time about 2 months ago and have gone about 5 times since (its addicting lol). You can go with as little or as much clothes as you want. Never gets orange at all or streaky, etc. It really depends on your skin and how you take care of the tan on how long it lasts. I would say its very noticeable at least on me for 4 days and still on the 5th a little (the third it starts fading very very little and the 4th its fading but still there). They tell you to moisturize a lot after you get it done and I notice that it really does help make it last a little longer.

If you have any other questions, just let me know

Re: tanning question

I'm thinking I may go Thursday morning, wait the 6 hours and shower before the RD. I also liked yor idea of Tuesday and then Friday, but don't want to go again so soon. I've never done it that way before and I'm afriad it may look too dark . I have very fair skin, so if any part of it isn't quite right, it is noticeable.

I definitely want my tan to look great for the wedding, so I think I would even it out myself at home so I have more control over it. SInce it only be only 2 days in between, it shouldn't fade too much anyway.

Anyone ever do it this way? What at home tanner did you use?
