Tanning Salon?

Tanning Salon?

I need help finding a good tanning salon around Oceanside or Forest Hills (Queens).
I have never tanned before, but do not want tan lines for the wedding and don't want to toast my first day of my honeymoon!
I need a place that can walk me through it, times, etc. And I won't turn orange will I?

I go to European Image in Oceanside on Merrick Rd. I like it!

Phone # 225-9600

- I usually go before I go on vacation for a few weeks and I never turned orange.....just a nice tan color.

- just if you go there tell them you have never been and they will explain everything to you. HTH.

Re: Tanning Salon?

I can recommend Airbrush Tanning. My first experience was in October 2004 for my brother's wedding. I was hooked ever since.

I used to lay out at the beach all day or use the tanning bed. If I did that now, my dermatologist would kill me as I have had a couple things removed and it is not worth the risk or the wrinkles. My friends who continued to use the beds see all the damage/wrinkles now that we are in our 30's. They said if they knew the damage would show later, they would not have done it.

I got married on 7/21/07 (Crest Hollow) and just got back from Hawaii. I had my airbrush tan from wedding and just used SPF30 first couple days to get my skin used to sun. I had an even tan the entire honeymoon.

I am 100% Irish and very pale (white!). The airbrush lets you pick if you want to be darker or lighter. I did not want to be too dark as my dress was white. I have included a couple pics and hope to post review and more pics by next week.

The name of the Salon is BRAZIL BRONZE of GREAT NECK phone # is 516-504-1055. Ask for Linda. She is a sweetheart and will answer any questions or concerns you may have (also a nurse). She also can e-mail list of do's and dont's when you make your first appt. My advice--do a trial on a night when you are not doing anything. it will be dark and look a little funny the first day. When you take a shower the next day, the excess washes off and you are left with an even tan. A couple of my bridesmaid wanted to do and were a bit nervous about doing it, but loved it!

theres two beach bums in forest hills on queens blvd. One is right next to the Commerce bank on 71st ave, the other is just a few blocks up. Ive been twice to the one next to commerce...I used their highest bed and it seriously makes you so dark from just one time. I had never gotten THAT dark from just one session.
