Tanning Salons
I want to be tan for my wedding
I haven't been to a tanning salon in 10 years! What's this I hear about the kind that you stand up in this room and you're sprayed? (I'm not painting a pretty picture! LOL)
Anyone know where I can find this in central Nassau? How long does it last? Is it natural looking?
I'm a little hesitant on actual rays - my skin is so sensitive and pale!

Re: Tanning Salons
Never heard of that. must be new.In winter, I am the same color as my dress-white.
I will be tan for my wedding if they have to spray me, dye me or bake me lol.
I also want to be tan so I don't burn on my hoenymoon. I always go to a tanning salon before I go away, this way I don't burn on vacation.

Re: Tanning Salons
the spray tan just came out and you can find it at any hollywood tans in nassau! i know there are 2 one in bethpage on hempstead turnpike and the other is in bellmore on sunrise hwy! i cant tell you how good it is because ive never tried it although it sounds ok! they say it is harmless and it only takes 6 seconds- what else are they going to come up with? i can tell you that ive done the standup tan booth and i love it. you dont get burnt on your butt or shoulders like you do when you lay down! and i think it gives you more of a tan faster in like 10 minutes! if you try the spray tan let me know how it was!!!!

i tried the standup twice and:the first time i almost fell asleep standing up & almost fell lol!
the second time the fan above you almost sucked my hair into it
although what diamondgrl said is right and no butt lines.

Re: Tanning Salons
the 'spray' tan that you're talking about is at hollywood tan and it's a self-tanner that they spray on you for 6 minutes and then you have to rub it all in...try doing that without leaving streaks and missing spots!Definitely test this before your wedding and make sure that it doesn't streak and it doesn't stain your dress...

Re: Tanning Salons
I tried the stand up machine once. The one good thing about the stand up is that you get a pretty even tan. The one I went in was really strong, and I stayed in a little too long. I was a little burnt after. I prefer the beds though. The salon I went to has one stand up, but Hollywood tans has all stand ups.

Re: Tanning Salons
I definitely plan on going to the tanning salon before the wedding just to get a natural glow- I plan on starting it a month or two before the wedding to avoid any breakouts or bright redness.I prefer the stand up bed, I just feel like you get more color in half the time.

Re: Tanning Salons
I too will go tanning, mostly because everyone told me to get a foundation tan before I go to Aruba or I will get some serious burns. Works out too because I can use it as an excuse as to why I am so tan!

Debbie08- I'll be going to Aruba in May 03 also, what hotel are you staying at? That's a reason for me also to get a base tan, so I don't burn on the honeymoon.

As a wedding gift my cousin is trying to do a timeshare switch if it is successful than we will be staying at the marriott timeshare which is right next to the hotel! How long will you be staying in Aruba?

Re: Tanning Salons
THERE IS ALSO A SPRAY TAN THAT THEY USE WITH THE AIRBRUSHING. IT IS LIKE THE SELF TANNER. THEY SPRAY IT ON (LIKE THE MAKEUP) AND IT LASTS BETWEEN 5- 7 DAYS. I GUESS THIS IS FOR ANYONE WHO IS SUN AND SKIN CONCIOUS. WORTH LOOKING INTO.Welcome New Vendors
