Re: tantrums?
LOL Luke is 9 1/2 months and I can see the beginning of it. If I take something away, he gets very p issed and lets me know loud & clear. I am practicing not giving in. I always say, I know they day is coming when he will be laying down in the aisle of a store throwing a fit over something. I saw a kid doing it in BRU 2 weeks ago with a very pregnant mom trying to get him up. He wanted her to buy him a toy that he already had at home. Also I hear the terrible 2's start earlier than 2. They are starting to assert their independence so it's definitely a phase. Im not being very helpful though, sorry. I know the BTDT Moms will have some great advice.

Re: tantrums?
I wish I had some advice, but Paul is starting to do this too Whenever you try to get him to walk somewhere and he doesn't want to go, he has this (very dangerous) habit of throwing his head backward and hurling his full weight toward the floor! He's gotten MANY a bump on the head from this already, and he doesn't seem to be learning NOT to do this. HELP!

Re: tantrums?
This is what we do at my job when the kids throw tantrums. First we make sure they are safe, and then we let them have a tantrum while sitting next to them and letting them know we are here when they are done. They usually stop when they see they are not getting the reaction they want. As for hitting you Karen you are doing the best thing, giving her a firm NO and saying do nice to Mommy. Good Luck
Edited to add: don't give in to tantrums or they will use them all the time to get what they want.
