Target Registry??

Anyone doing a registry at Target? I was just reading some old reviews that were not so good, but I was wondering if they have done anything recently to improve?? There is a lot of stuff I like at good prices plus a good variety. Any feedback would be appreciated

I did target, bed bath & beyond and fortuneoff. I just checked my registry and someone purchased my digital camera from there. I haven't had any problems with them so far

I bought gift on wedding registry at Target without a problem. Most registry problem (duplicate, etc.) are USER problem. They don't know how to do it.

Fortune off is great too.

I'm registered there. The only problem we've encountered so far is with gifts that didn't come with a receipt. We got a gift that someone OOT purchased at their local target and they shipped it to us without a receipt and when we went to Target they told us we had to wait until 3 months before the event to return items on our regestry without a receipt. This policy makes no sense to me, but we couldn't get a better answer. Also I know someone bought us a gift and then way after she sent it they told her (I don't know if they got in touch with her or vice versa) they told her it wouldn't be delivered until March (she ordered in January). So it's not perfect, but we were able to register there for a lot of things that aren't available at the other places we registered.

I guess every place will have wierd glitches, but I'll have to be careful about returns. I'm not planning on putting a lot of expensive things on it and I'll try to get the word out to get reciepts!!!

My experience buying from a registry @ Target, make sure you get a gift receipt. And as for returns, you cannot even do an EVEN EXCHANGE if you do have a receipt!! You're basically $hit out og luck if you attempt an exchange or return w/o a receipt. This goes for items purchased of the registry or not.

Also, they only keep your registry in the system for 90 days. That stinks! I found this out b/c I was goign to complete FH's brother and wife's registry from Target for their 1 yr anniversary, and it was no longer available. I tried to email corporate, maybe they archived it, nope. No record whats so ever.

I had a registry ther, but after my experiece, I chose to cancel it.

I LOVE the store, don't get me wrong, but I'd rather buy stuff for myself as I want it than to have to go thru any hassles.

Just my thoughts.

Re: Target Registry??

We originally had a registry there because they had the most varied selection but had some problems getting what was on our registry according to the instore computer to sync up with what we saw on our personal computers. Items that we had scanned and that were confirmed as scanned would randomly not appear when we checked our registry. I ended up closing it and opening a registry at BBB after I read some other complaints on LIW.

Thanks for the input. I think I am going to do a small one with Target for some everyday stuff. I like their selection better then Macy's. I'll keep you all updated as to how it goes

I have a free 20 gift card if I register with them, and we will. Not just because of the extra 20 bucks, but because I happen to really like there stuff.
