tasting ?

tasting ?

How exactly do tastings work? I spoke to another BM at my hall yesterday, mine had the day off, and he said that the tastings were only for CH food. He said that if we wanted to taste the entrees then we would have to eat in the restaurant and pay for our meal. I think that's ridiculous! My parents are paying tens of thousands of dollars and we have to pay to taste what we're already paying for?! Is this how it's supposed to work?

Every catering hall is different. But ours was a selection of foods from both the cocktail hour and dinner.

That's strange. I can understand if you havent all ready booked with them. But they usually offer to reimburse you the money if you do decide to go with them. But if you all ready signed the contract and they are telling you that you have to pay for you meals is pretty messed up, IMO. Ask if they can reimburse you the money from the total catering bill.

I have heard great things about your CH but.... I would never book a hall with out tasting the food first. I would also want to tast more then the CH food.
