tastings

How many people went to your tasting.

And did they give you a sample of everything?

My FH is sad that they aren't bringing him some hors devours to taste (he is obsessed with baby lamb chops... If he could marry a baby lamb chop instead of me he would )

We got choice of salad, 3 dinners, and one app. It sounded OK to me.

5 parents and us - but we had to beg to bring the 5th parent.

They didn't have everything to sample, which disappointed me b/c the only debate I am having is salmon v. chilean sea bass and they did not offer the sea bass to taste.

We were allowed to bring up to 6 guests. The automatically gave us an appetizer, we choose a salad and then they brought out about 6-8 different dinners, served family style. There was so much food!! BUT we didn't get to sample everything... You can get a good idea though!

We only got the cocktail hour. But that tasting was before we booked the Hall and I had to beg for it. My family would not let me book unless they tasted the food.

We are having our tasting tomorrow. We are getting a few of the hors devours (there are like 30 to choose from so obviously can't taste them all!), an appetizer, 2 entrees and a dessert.

We were very disappointed at my tasting.. they brought one appetizer (the same for all 6 of us, no choices), and three dishes... one plate of filet of sole, one plate of stuffed chicken, and one plate of chicken with mushroom sauce. And that was it. We were like...what the hell?? FH was losing it because he is obsessed with prime ribs, so he ended up drinking too much wine, excused himself to the bathroom, and came out with his hair soaking wet and slicked back, FMIL and I were cracking up, and then the table next to us got dessert, but we thought it was going to be ours so we were all ready to pick what we wanted off the cart, and then they delivered it to another table. Don't get me wrong, I love GW Manor and the food is great, but they could have done a little better on the choices and quantity.

I was also disappointed that they did not provide any cake to taste - one would think that's important to try.

4 of us went to a tasting before I booked. We had to go on a day they were having an event so we got some of the things that event had chosen. I think we had a bunch of hors d'ouevres, 3 appetizers and 3 entrees.
