Tatoo covering??

I have a tatoo on my shoulder and on my right arm. I am wearing a strapless dress and I was thinking about covering them up with airbrush make up or regular makeup. I am Latina and I have tan skin, I dont want the make up to look stupid and the tatoos to show through anyway. I havent called make up artist yet but that is my next step.
Has anyone had tatoos covered up and has some suggestions?

I have one my back that I am getting covered with derma-blend and then with airbrush. I think the combo of the two works the best - just be careful with the dermablend - it does rub off onto things.
