so ive been dying to get a tattoo on the inner side of my wrist.. but ive been holding off since im in nursing school thinking it may look 'unprofessional' and when im 80 do i want a tattoo on my wrist? but i really want it and FH said if at 80 i dont like it i can just get it removed... but the way i look at it is its really tiny and would be able to be covered by a watch or bracelet...
what do i do?

Does the tattoo you want to get on your wrist have a lot of meaning to you? Cause if it doesnt, then maybe you'll want to get it somewhere else. Cause when you get it on your wrist, youre going to see it all the time and so is everyone else. You dont want to get something you may get tired of.
But if you want it, I say go for it!! I absolutely love mine!

thanks... this is what i want... its 2 attached hearts i write it all the time inbetween mine and Fhs names.. it just symbolizes the commitment to one another since its 2 hearts coming together and attaching even tho still seperate they share one side.

I got mine on my left wrist so that if I ever needed to cover it for any reason then I could do so with a watch or something. That will totally be easy to hide if you ever needed to!
Heres a pic of mine when I first got it. Its an Aids ribbon. Definitely an attention getter!! lol

i like it. i would think about it b/c like you said you want to look professional...but then again as long as you can cover it it should be ok. make sure it can be covered by a watch and not just long sleeves b/c in nursing yhou will prob wear short sleeves a lot. i struggled with the same situation with my peircings. i used to have a tongue ring and an industrial barbell piercing....i hated having to take them out when i officially started the 'professional phase' of my college (ie: when i went on fielwork and site visits). i decided to just keep one piercing (tragus) now that i am working people usually never notice it. and if i really wanted to i could cover it up with my hair.

thanks i have a couple others and they are also coverable.. so i think ill do it this week.. my mom will prob DIE and say its stupid to do it before the wedding since it will show up in pics!

im sure it will hurt a whole lot less then the top of my foot that was a b!tch it was swollen for weeks! but it was the best decision i ever made i LOVE it!

if it was on my right arm i could cover it the day of.. but i might get it on my left then i wouldnt... i dont know ill hve to really think about it

I havent decided yet. Most likely I will, only cause my dad still doesnt know I have it and thats not exactly something I need him finding out on my wedding day!! LOL

i didnt even think that.. i thought the ribon just stood for awareness! maybe you feel strongly about it or have someone close to you that had it! im all for the ribbons.. aids breast cancer etc

well it is for awareness....among other things. I have someone extremely close to me that lives with aids.
