I have a tattoo on my left shoulder and have a strapless gown.... does anyone know how to cover one? I don't want makeup rubbing off on my veil, can't afford laser removal before the wedding....any suggestions? and NO, i am not getting a different dress lol!

Re: Tattoo Question
Maybe getting makeup airbrushed over the tatoo might cover it and it won't rub off until you wash it.

Re: Tattoo Question
there is a product called dermablend. I used it when i did theatre in NYC - it covers ANYTHING. I don't have any tattoos - but some major scarring from late in life chicken pox. Maybe if you do a google search you can find it. Good luck!

Re: Tattoo Question
Why do you have to cover it? If you don't want it seen in your pictures maybe your photographer can just make it disappear They can do some amazing things. My dad is blind and his eyes are a little strange looking. I was told that a photographer can actually paint eyes in. I was even shown a before and after photo of someone with their eyes closed and how it looked after eyes were added in. You couldn't even tell. Not that I would want to see my dad in all of my pictures with normal looking eyes. That would totally look freaky to me

Re: Tattoo Question
I have a friend that had the same situation, she had a make up artist cover it up really good. It didnt rub off on her veil at all. The only problem was by the very end of the night it had worn off a little and you could see some of the color through the make up. But it was dark in the place so I dont think anyone noticed it.

Re: Tattoo Question
I have a semi large tattoo on my ankle as much as I love it. I was in the same boat as you but then I just figured it'll be covered. But I do understand what your feeling. You can see what a makeup artistwill have I'm sure they've come across this before.

Re: Tattoo Question
I guess tatoos are quite popular. I have one too. Everytime I go on a job interview (which hasn't been too ofen lately) I have to worry about covering it. Make-up never works for me. Thanks for the dermablend tip!

I have a Tattoo on my left shoulder
And I got married last August and I have my shoulders bare with my Tattoo and I can count on one hand home many pictures of my Tattoo were showing. It worked out well, I am not ashamed of my Tattoo and nor is it big. I think covering it up will only bring more attention to it.
