I have a forget me not flower on my left hip. I got it on my 18th birthday and all my friends came with me and there are pictures of them taking turns holding my hand
There is a sweet story behind the forget me not flower but the short version is
'It was often worn by ladies as a sign of faithfulness and enduring love.'
I've also read that it was believed to protect the person from being forsaken by their lover
I still love the flower and the meaning behind it but I wish I went to a better tattoo artist

I have a heart with wings across my back - all black and white. I was 22. My friend drew it for me. If you ever meet me, I'll show it to you. lol
I have a butterfly on my left hip - I was 18. I was and still am obsessed with the quote: 'If nothing in the world ever changed, there wouldn't be butterflies' and I may add that to the tattoo in some fancy script lol
I'm getting a 3rd on March 17th.
edited because I can't tell my left from right apparently. it's on my LEFT hip.

I have a tribal tattoo with a heart in the middle on my lower back. One night fh and I went to the village and he dared me to get it because I always wanted it but was afraid. I took him up on his dare and he payed for me to get it. It 3 hours to be done and it hurt like hell but I absolutely love it!!!! The lady who did it was really good.

I have two matching suns with the middle colored in black on the out sides of my hips (like where you tie your bikini strings)
i got mine when i was 18 also i let my dad take me for a graduation present because i wasn't allowed to get my belly button pierce because of cheerleading no one thought i would do it and i did it! sometimes i hate them (because sometimes i dislike my dad) and want to change them to sunflowers because its my favorite flower and other times i love them
ETA im going to take this pic down in a few i dont want to seem skanky

I have 1 tattoo on my foot. Got it for my 22nd birthday. My friend Alex, whose drawings I always liked, drew it up for me. I wanted a shooting start but something cooler looking than just a plain old shooting star and I wanted it to be blue and green. He drew it up, the tatoo guy slapped it on my foot and that's that. Hurt like a BIOTCH - probably the reason I never got another tatoo LOL. I always wanted to go back and get the same thing on the other foot so it's kind of a mirror image, but I never did and now I just don't want to LOL.
I don't have a pic of it though. Maybe if I remember I'll take one when I get home.
EDIT: just took a pic with my phone - not a great pic but here yah go

I quickly sketched a crown and told them I wanted one too.
My grandpa had passed away a few years earlier and he always called me princess
So I got a crown with his initials

I almost got something similar instead of the butterfly when I was 18. I was going to get an all black sun on my inner right ankle.

I have 3 tattoos.
My first is beastly lol I got it when I was 16. It was cheap and the guy did a horrible job. Its supposed to be a flower but I dont know what he did but it now looks like an old faded spider. I plan on getting it removed or redone soon.
My 2nd was when I was 22. It on my lower back and its a lotus flower. Hubby got it for. Its really pretty.
My 3rd I wanted for a long time and I got it when I was 25 its on my foot and its a virgo symbol(my bday sign) I was actually supposed to get the neck redone but the guy couldn't do it that day so I got the foot instead lol. I have only a pic of that one on here.
I have two. The first I got with my sister. Mine is on my right hip and my sister got hers on her inner ankle. It's a cross.
The second I got 2 years ago....I lost a close friend of mine (my first b/f) to cancer. He was only 23. So i got a full side piece....on my ribs....OUCH! Let's see if it posts....

The first I was 18 and I wanted a shooting star, sunday (an artist at lark tattoo) drew it and I loved it!
The second I was drunk on the boardwalk in AC so I got a star on my foot. LOL
The third is a weeping willow that is on my left side it is from below my hip to under my arm pit and it have my family names on it!

maybe not for some people....but the ribs hurt like hell. The tattoo artist is a HUGE dude and he was like....'holy Crap! she's a trooper!!!' haha i'm a teacher....i need everything covered....i had few choices of places to put it...

I have a cross made out of puzzle pieces for autism on my back right shoulder blade. Working with children with autism is my passion and a huge part of my life. I have always been drawn to the meaning of the autism ribbon because i feel like it can also be applied to my personality as well. I drew it myself and got it almost 2 years ago. Unfortunately the person who did it did not have a heavy hand so the color came out faded and light so i have to get it touched up. Sorry for the picture its hard to take a picture of your back.
