Is the DJ price plus tax? Has anyone gotten it included? I got it included for my florist- just curious...TIA

I'm pretty sure you can't charge tax on a service - so no.

The DJ said No tax in NY on DJ because its a service, I got taxed on my photography & flowers

Vendors who provide a service should not charge you tax. In NY there is only tax on products. So if a DJ tells you they'll waive the tax if you pay cash, they're not being truthful with you because they shouldn't be charging tax in the first place.

Each place is different. Ours was tax included in the price they gave. I want to say most places have tax included in tehir prices.

After I thought about it tax is not what I meant I actually ment service charge or gratuity! Tax not sure sorry.
