OK, I know this has been asked, but I just found out I'm getting a HUGE one this year!
I don't know if I should pay off my credit card, save it, or have fun spending it. I know I should probably pay off my credit card, although I could just wait until the wedding to do that and have fun with this money now . . . I don't know!
What to do?
What are you all doing with yours?

We're doing this too. This is our first year filing jointly as a married couple, and we're expecting a pretty nice refund of about 3K. We're probably going to put about 3/4 of it towards the credit cards and save the rest. Craig's been talking about painting the house, so maybe we'll use the money for that. After almost three years, all the walls are still the same ivory color as wehen we moved in - Even though I've wanted to do this a long time ago, I think he's finally starting to get sick of the same color!

We paid off our credit card and put money toward a house. I say save or pay that credit card bill. You will feel much better.

I think you're right . . . Everyone is right about the credit card bill... I think I should do that.

pay off the credit card. Why are you continuing to spend beyond your means? always pay off debt first... the best move.

Re: Tax Refund Question!
when i get my refund i am paying my credit card off rather than saving because i am still paying interest on my credit cards if i dont pay the full debt off. i wouldnt make that much intrest if i just stuck in my savings account.

Re: Tax Refund Question!
2 years ago I paid off my cc's and closed all exepct 1..I called and had them lower my limit to 1,000 and cut up the card..I have money in savings so I can use that in an emergency..as far as renting a car, I call up and get a free replacement of the card and use it, then cut it up..it seems silly but I don't want any cards in my life..pay off your cc, you will be so glad you did

I don't spend beyond my means generally. however, this year I had to/and continue to have to fly in and out of state about 25 times for weddings and related events . . . after this year, things will be a LOT easier!
