TD Bankers!!

Hey ladies! Are you all having TD Bank issues? I nearly had a heart attack when I went to the ATM to get cash and they told me I had no money to take! When I came back to work, a few other TD Bankers said they are holding their direct deposits, but I can't get through online, on the phone, and I didn't have time to stand on the massive line downstairs on my lunch break since we're so short.

we have a joined savings account.. but I dont know if we're having problems because i can't check it now...
did they tell you why?

I still haven't been able to get through. Apparently the money is there, so I was able to pay my bills online, but I can't take cash out to get a money order to pay my landlady. (I'd send a check but she takes forever to cash them and it messes up my whole system!)

My boss was able to stand on the line and force them to manually input her money, but I won't have a chance to do this until tomorrow. You should be okay, it's only deposits that are being affected as far as I know.

Customers of TD Bank experienced problems Wednesday accessing account balances because of a glitch in the bank’s computer system.

TD spokeswoman Rebecca Acevedo said there were delays in the bank’s overnight transactions postings, which essentially meant that customers could not see their balances past Tuesday at 6 p.m. To repair the problem, Acevedo said, TD had to shut down Internet banking to all customers but hoped to have that restored by early evening Wednesday.

The system originally crashed Friday evening and was down all weekend before going back online Monday morning. It crashed again overnight Tuesday.

Acevedo said customers can still use ATM machines and withdraw or deposit money but their balances will not be in real time.

“We are sorry for the inconvenience this might have caused our customers,” Acevedo said.

The Toronto-based bank bought Cherry Hill, N.J.-based Commerce Bank last year and is the second-largest bank in the Philadelphia area based on local deposits.

they su ck now, i switched a while ago, but my parents still bnk there and they deposited a check and the funds were never made available!!!! its a freakin nightmare now

Seriously- back when it was Commerce, they were actually really good. Now... not so much. I'm looking into BOA, CitiBank, and HSBC.

ugh i know, you guys are right. ive been thinking about switching to chase for a while now.

i really want to find a place that has free checking with NO MINIMUM balance. i dont have freakin 100 bucks lying around to keep in my checking, lol.
only thing is td's hours, i hate them for getting me used to that

UGH! Exactly!! They are SO convenient! I can wake up on a Sunday morning and go to see an actual teller. And I know what you mean about the min. balance. I wonder how much money I've actually paid them for being under the minimum... better not to think about it, probably.

I had HUGE problems with them when they were commerce - They would bounce checks when I had more then enough money in the account - I got out of there after that happened 3 times. Sorry you are going through this

Makes me feel better there are others of you out there...and I have a big payment tomorrow and FH's direct deposit still hasnt gone in and we need that money....I have been on the phone with them all freaking day.
