Tea favor

Tea favor

We are doing a NY theme. But I love the idea of having tea blended just for the event either to be served or as a favor -- opinions, please?

Deb - very creative!!! I love the idea of having a 'custom tea' for the event. Very cool-

I don't like having it as a favor. More of a shower thing in my head I think...

Are you and FH big tea drinkers??

Deb,
I just saw something the other day about specialty blended teas to serve. Of course I cannot remember where I actually saw it but will try and find it for you!
By the way, I saw a picture of the Puck Bldg in a bridal magazine. LOVE IT!!!!!!!

I think its a really cute idea....but if you decide to do it as a favor, you may want to also give coffee as well. That way if you do one per couple it works well, and your guests have the choice of what to drink!

I kind of agree, it's more of a shower thing. I went to a shower last year and the favors were teacups on saucers with two teabags inside with a couple chocolates, all wrapped in tulle.

How would you present the tea?

Re: Tea favor

Well, we found a company that will blend a flavor as per your specs and then put a custom tag on it. So we can blend, apple cinnamon, my fave with FI's fave which is Berry Magic or something like that -- they custom do it so it is not gross.
Then for the tags...in celebration of your blended life or something.

Re: Tea favor

You could have a 'tea bar' where guests can pick the herbs to be infused into their tea.

Okay, maybe that is taking it too far...and most of your guests would have to be real tea people, but I love the idea of going 'I'd like chamomile...and...ummm...oohh!! the lavender looks great! How about a steaming cup of Chamomile Lavender Tea served in an antique cup!?'

Knowing you Deb, it would presented in a VERY classy way, so I think it would be a kick-a$$ favor...

Pricey?

We are thinking of coffee, Krisycremes (sp) and NY Times for folks as they leave so I do agree with your idea.

Awww, BUNNY!
Like $1.50 a bag. There is a minimum.

All that, the teas, the beautiful room and your dress... that decides it - I'm crashing your wedding.
(Not like I won't have a thing to do the day before my own wedding! )

Why? Is she trying to scare off your guests?

Re: Tea favor

I have been posting of this drama on 05. This is her first wedding and my parents' last -- so while mine have been kind of just happy to nod along, his mom is TOTALLY into it. Then she read this thing in Town and Country Wedding about how someone transformed the Puck into an Enchanted Forest (Could I make this up?) and she thinks that would be fab! Sheers on the walls and dozens of flowers. Now, I love her a lot, and I appreciate her enthusiasm, but I think I would like this a lot more if I were 5?
