I've been reading the posts in here about tea length BM dresses and a lot of people have said you should get the hems all the same length so it looks even in pictures. my question is, what if you have BMs who are all different heights? I have 2 BMs who are pretty small - if their dresses were hemmed the same as the tall girls it would almost look like a long dress! i'm seriously considering tea length because my wedding is on a Sunday but i'm not sure what to do about the skirt lengths. anybody have any thoughts? should i give up and have long gowns? TIA!

In my experience, with tea length dresses, they usually measure from the ground so the length will be the same on all of the girls.

IMO, I like long gowns, its depends on how formal it is....and lets say, if its a day wedding/reception, tea length is fine, but if its a friday/sat night wedding, a gown is more appropriate, so they say. It all depends how your taste, the elegance, ect.
But you do mention a good point about the Bm's being a different height . . .

I ordered tea length dresses and they said that I tell them how many inches below the knee I want the hem and they will make it the same for each girl. So the hem will come to the same point on each girl even though my smallest is like 5' and my tallest is like 6'

ohhh ok that makes a lot more sense! sorry i was having a stupid moment.
my wedding goes from 3-9 on a sunday so it's not quite afternoon and not quite evening, so i can probably go either way with the length. still have some time to decide though!

We did the same thing for my sister's wedding. Since we're all different heights, we picked how many inches from the knee.
