Tea lights vs. Votives

Tea lights or votives?!

Re: Tea lights vs. Votives

depends on what they're going in...

Well, I am not sure of that either. They are for the table for the reception. I don't have the containers either...

I would say votives if you're not looking to buy extra containers, because they're bigger and safer.

I say votives in glass votive holders, if you want to put them around the table. They look pretty on mirrors, too. I think votives will last longer...the tea lights might melt before the wedding ends!

votives (they last longer than tea lights)

Votives give more light and a glow.

Tea-lights I would only use if they're for placecard votives, and only b/c you don't want folks burning themselves.

Best places to buy bulk amounts for cheap? Would like IRL, but internet is good too.

I was at AC Moore last night and they hardly had any in stock.

You can always place orders at AC Moore, they're pretty quick (a week) in getting you whatever your looking for.

if you go to ac moore on glen cove, speak to the manager - Jim, he's a very nice guy!

I just read the AC Moore flyer and they have a 12 pack of white or ivory votives w/holders 1/2 price! $3.49

I think I saw them...does it say what shape the holder is?

The ones I saw had a ruffle on the top.

I am doing tea lights, because I can't find any votice holders that I like. They are going to be scattered in black river rock around the potted orchid CP.
Do you think the open flame is an issue?

They were just plain round ones from what I saw in pic. Also, you can do what I'm doing if you don't like the plain look of the holders. I'm using hot glue to attach a sheer ribbon around the outside of the holder. It gives it a nice look and a more colorful glow.

we are using votives from partylite because i love the way that they burn, they turn completely liquid and then they brun down and if they spill the wax isn't hot so don't have to worry about anyone getting hurt/burned if something happens!!!

I would go with votives. I found some on sale last year at michaels, for 50 cents each.

i would say votives for all the same reasons that were listed above... i'm not sure if they have exactly what you are looking for but a great site that i was recommened to is cudge.net for that kind of stuff. good luck!
