Tea Lights vs Votives...POLL

What candle did you use/are you using for the votive place cards. Votives or Tea lights? If I use a votive candle will the flame be too high?

I think tea lights would be a little too small for making them into place cards? I never seen it before though, only votives.

I think most people actually use a tea light inside a votive holder (at least the weddings I've been to where they had these).

The tea lights are more self-contained in terms of the wax and the flame in my opinion...

Thanks! I was worried about the flame of the votives too. The tea-lights will be ok in the votive holder though right? (That is probably a really stupid question, but just want to double check).

I thought that tea lights were supposed to be used and that you have to take them out of the metal tin so they don't get too hot.

I'd go for the tea lights - they seem less messy. Plus they're cheaper, right?

TEA LIGHTS - they don't get as hot and the the flame isn't so close to the open area.
